PuffPizza® was born from a simple truth: food isn’t just nourishment — it’s joy. It’s laughter around a table. A shared bite on the go. A quiet moment of comfort.
Our founder grew up in Sardinia, surrounded by bold Mediterranean flavours and the comforting scent of freshly baked pastries. Among his favourite memories was La Pizzetta Sfoglia — a flaky, golden puff pastry filled with rich tomato sauce, cheese, and herbs.
Not quite a pizza, not quite a pastry — something unique and unforgettable.

Years later, that memory became a mission: to bring La Pizzetta Sfoglia to life for a new generation — with the same heart, but a modern approach.
So we created Sfoglietta® by PuffPizza®:
A light, golden puff pastry shell filled with carefully selected ingredients — from sun-ripened tomatoes and aged cheeses to thoughtfully prepared vegetables and herbs. Crafted in the UK to a bespoke Italian recipe, and baked until crisp and bubbling with flavour.
It’s everything we love about Italian food: honest, simple, and full of soul.

Our Founder’s Story
From Philosophy to PuffPizza®
Nicola began his career as a philosophy graduate and musician, but wherever life took him, one constant remained — a deep belief in the power of good food to bring people together. After working at Itsu and exploring food innovation in London, he noticed a clear gap in the UK market: products were either traditional or convenient, but rarely both.
A Sardinian Spark Growing up in Sardinia, Nicola’s favourite treat was La Pizzetta Sfoglia — a flaky puff pastry filled with tomato, cheese, and herbs. Not quite a pizza, not quite a pastry, but something distinctive in between. That memory became the foundation for a new idea: to reimagine this Sardinian classic for modern lives, without losing its soul.
Turning Vision Into Reality
Driven by creativity, resilience, and a clear vision, Nicola founded PuffPizza® and brought Sfoglietta® to life — a premium yet approachable format designed to bake easily from frozen, share effortlessly, and deliver consistent quality every time.
The journey has involved rigorous recipe development, manufacturing refinement, and building reliable routes to market. Through it all, the goal has remained the same: to combine tradition with modern food production, making something authentic, scalable, and joyful.
